Review:

Appearance: We poured from the black ceramic bottle into smaller tasting glasses; it was a nice golden yellow with a white fluffy top that dissipated.

Smell: A strong smelling beer; sweet fruit right off the bat such as peach, pear and pineapple. A healthy does of hops and a little heat/esters come through.

Taste:Full of flavor, this brew tastes like a fruit salad. Every sip there is some new notes coming through, from all those on the nose, plus a whole bunch more earthy spicey hops. A rich and deep beer; imperial in flavor. A little more alcohol esters come through as it warms.

Mouthfeel:Heavy and viscous; coats the inside of your mouth and the last sip leaves this amazing flavor that lasts a long time.

Drinkability:Lower medium – This is a sipping beer.

Notes: I was lucky enough to be able to try this; I picked up this for Brett for Christmas and he shared a tasting with me. I look forward to trying more from Rogues XS series.
