Review
Appearance: I poured this nice red amber orange ale into a tulip glass. The initial pour didn’t release much head, but a nice swirl brought about a thick, very finely carbonated tan head. It left a little bit lacing on the way down.
Smell: Nice toasty sweet malt up front with a nice floral citrus hop backdrop.
Taste: Very balanced; sweet malt is counter point to the big hop flavor – floral lemon zest citrus with a nice drying sweet grapefruit finish. Not as hoppy as one would expect from an IIPA, but good.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, smooth and drying – awesome!
Drinkability: High – no cloying tastes nor astringency. Greatly balanced beer.
Notes: A very solid IIPA – very New York, very delicious; readily available.
